Join the AFCEA Tokyo (東京) family on Friday July 28 at The New Sanno Hotel for some Summer festivities, with free hors d’oeuvres, and beverages of your choice.

We’re honored and delighted to have Jonathan Hobbs, PhD, Director of Hobbs & Associates, presenting a very interesting topic related to Artificial Intelligence: What’s So Intelligent About Artificial Intelligence Anyways?

Event Overview/Summary:
Intelligently superior AI robots will soon take over the world, subduing human kind and the inhabitants of the earth once and for all. -or not- In this seminar Jonathan Hobbs will explain why AI is not modeled after human intelligence, how it fails to live up to definitions of human intelligence, and how AI, and human intelligence differ both at a hardware and software level.

About the Speaker:

Jonathan Hobbs moved to Japan in 2011 and soon after founded Hobbs & Associates, a boutique firm specializing in high tech, intellectual property law and cybersecurity. Jonathan earned his doctorate in AI and machine learning, and is licensed to practice IP law before the USPTO. Jonathan has authored numerous scientific and business publications in various fields related to AI and machine learning.

The July Monthly Event will be at the usual location – The New Sanno – and will feature our standard spread of free hors d’oeuvres, finger food, and beverages of your choice.

This event, like all our monthly events, is FREE for everyone to attend.
