Join the AFCEA Tokyo (東京) family on Friday June 30 at The New Sanno Hotel for some Summer festivities, with free hors d’oeuvres, and beverages of your choice.
We’re honored and delighted to have Yan Fan, Co-Founder and CTO of Code Chrysalis, presenting a very interesting topic related to software development in Japan: Trends, Challenges and the Future of Coding in Japan
The world is shifting towards software and that has left Japan’s technology sector struggling to remain competitive and relevant. What happened and what kinds of hurdles are professionals facing with software in Japan? Yan will talk about Japan’s technology challenges, what she has seen in her journey starting Japan’s first advanced coding school, and possible solutions.
About the Speaker:
Yan is co-founder and CTO of Code Chrysalis, an advanced coding school in Tokyo. She started learning how to code when she became disillusioned with her career in trading. Since leaving trading, she has worked as a software developer at a Silicon Valley machine learning startup, taught coding for a number of organizations, and started a coding bootcamp in Jordan for refugees. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Arabic from Dartmouth College.
The June Monthly Event will be at the usual location – The New Sanno – and will feature our standard spread of free hors d’oeuvres, finger food, and beverages of your choice.
