Free – $500

Join the AFCEA Tokyo (東京) family on Friday October 27 at The New Sanno Hotel for some Autumn festivities, with free hors d’oeuvres, and beverages of your choice.

We’re honored and delighted to have Mr. Glenn Perry enlighten us on ways to better protect our networks: Adding Traditional Security to a Cyber Security Strategy

Event Overview/Summary:
Often times we forget about the human element when planning for a cyber security plan of action. We will discuss best practices derived from the Traditional Security, Security Technical Implementation Guide(STIG).

Including the Traditional Security STIG in cyber strategies will invoke thoughts such as :

How can “need to know” based file permission procedures safeguard intellectual property?
Do we have a hiring and termination processes that fits into the “need to know” methodology?
How can we ensure physical safeguards are in place for critical buildings and infrastructure(s)?
Do we have a Continuity Operations Plan and when was it last tested?

Join us for what promises to be a robust discussion on a timely topic.

About the Speaker:
Mr. Perry has worked in various security sectors for 20 years. During periods in the U.S. Department of Defense and private companies. His specialties include Crypto-security, Information Assurance, software development for Command & Control systems and Physical Installation Security.
