Scott Jarkoff has over 20 years’ experience engineering, implementing, & administering and governing resilient enterprise-scale cyber security solutions for the United States Department of Defense (DoD). Prior to joining Intel Security in February 2013, Scott was the Chief of Cyber Security for Headquarters United States Forces Japan (USFJ) on Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, Japan. At USFJ he was responsible for overseeing DoD cyber security strategy and cyber situational awareness for the U.S. military components in Japan. Scott led strategic U.S. and Japan cross-government cyber security efforts, managed the USFJ cyber security program, and commanded the USFJ security incident response team. His unique background in strategic cyber, operational, and hands-on tactical cyber operations were highly valued at USFJ.
Scott was a key player in the United States Government (USG) and Government of Japan (GOJ) Bilateral Information Security Consultation (BISC), a Department of State-led initiative to increase information sharing and strengthen cyber security cooperation between the two nations. Scott was the U.S. Co-Chair of the Information Assurance Working Group (IAWG) and single-handedly reinvigorated a stale bilateral relationship between U.S. DoD and Japanese Ministry of Defense (MOD), leading to substantive cyber security information sharing, cyber security training for the Japanese military, and other significant initiatives to increase MOD cyber security capabilities.
In his role with Intel Security, Scott applies his firsthand defense-grade security expertise governing U.S. DoD and cross-government information systems to deliver thought leadership, robust security solutions, and cyber intelligence capabilities centered around the Intel Security “Threat Defense Lifecycle” integrated security system.
