AFCEA 東京 TOKYO TechNet 2019

March 5-7, 2019 | The New Sanno Hotel | Tokyo, Japan

Call for Papers Overview

AFCEA 東京 TOKYO TechNet 2019 is an annual Information Technology and Security focused conference that brings industry, academia, and government together to network, share ideas, and improve professional knowledge.

Our goal is to not only to provide an opportunity to learn something new, but also to raise money for grants and scholarships for students pursing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) related fields.

As a non-profit organization, our goal is to invest all sponsorship revenue back into the local community. TechNet allows us to hold monthly events, holiday parties, and an annual conference – but most importantly it allows us to provide grants and scholarships to students studying in STEM-related fields.

With that being said, we are not able to cover speaker costs (flights, accommodation, etc). If your talk is selected, we will be able to provide a complementary full-event pass to attend all conference events, including the kick-off dinner, lunch keynotes and panels, networking socials, etc.

Presentations can be 50 minutes for keynotes and 80 minutes for panels. Topics of interest include (but are in no way limited to) the following, with preference given to talks that provide solutions as well as insight to problems in:

  • Information Technology
  • Network Security / Host Security
  • Web Application Security
  • Virtualization and Cloud Computing
  • Innovative Attack / Defense Strategies
  • Embedded Device Security / Internet of Things
  • Forensics / Malware
  • Information Security Policies / Frameworks

If your talk doesn’t fit into any of the topics listed above, no problem. We’re happy to review all technology related subjects.

While we welcome submissions from the vendor community, we will not accept proposals that are solely product pitches.

If you’d like to get in touch with us before submitting a talk, please feel free to contact us and we’ll respond as soon as we’re able to.
